Google acaba de realizar el desembarco en España de un buscador exclusivo para el comercio electrónico, inicialmente apareció en EEUU y se fue extendendiendo por los principales países como Alemania, Francia, Australia y Reino Unido y ahora España.

Actualmente Google Shopping dispone de más de 1.000 millones de productos indexados y cerca de 200.000 comerciantes.


Esto significa un gran acierto y un avance relacionado con el comercio electrónico, ya que realizar búsquedas solamente por productos significa , buscar en todas las tiendas del mundo con un solo click. El comprador tendrá una ventaja porque ya no tiene que ir buscando en directorios, comparadores o entrando a cada tienda para encontrar el producto que quiere. Para el vendedor un lugar más donde vender los productos por internet , pero con la ventaja de que es gratuito.

¿Cómo funciona Google Shopping?

En Google Shopping no podremos comprar directamente, pero buscaremos un producto de la misma forma que realizamos una búsqueda en Google, nos darán los productos disponibles con la cantidad de tiendas online que disponen de ese producto, al pinchar dentro podremos ver todas las tiendas que tienen ese producto, con el precio, estado e incluso los gastos de envío.


Otra ventaja que dispone este buscador es que podremos acotaciones en las búsquedas por precio, marca , estado…


Algunas de las grandes marcas ya han dado de alta sus productos, como por ejemplo El Corte Inglés, como siempre los primeros que lleguen a este segmento serán los primeros que ocupen las primeras posiciones del buscador, aunque al final todo dependerá ahora de las técnicas SEO que usemos para intentar mejorar nuestras posiciones en caso de tener mucha competencia.


¿Cómo puedo darme de alta en Google Shopping?

Esta vez Google, al ser comercio electrónico, se lo ha tomado más en serio y exige una serie de requisitos, en mi opinión se trata que la información sea veraz y no haya supuestos vendedores falsos y empresas “piratas” beneficiándose de este servicio gratuito.


Los requisitos son:



  • La tienda virtual debe ser española.

  • Las páginas que se publiquen en Google Shopping deben estar en español.

  • Los precios deben ser en € y aparecer con impuestos incluidos.

  • Los productos deben poder enviarse a cualquier punto del territorio español.

  • El proceso de pago debe ser bajo un entorno seguro (SSL).

  • La url de destino no debe tener redirecciones, ni contraseñas ni enlaces a direcciones de correo electrónico.

  • Es obligatorio indicar las cantidades que hay en stock y en caso que no hayan que aparezca “0”, o bien, eliminarlo del listado.

  • Una misma url solo debe aparecer en una categoría, no está permitido dar un mismo producto en varias categorías.

  • No está permitida la inclusión de productos exclusivos para socios.

  • Los productos que son para adultos deben ir marcados como tales, vamos que deberá aparecer producto no apto para menores.


El resto de condiciones son básicas , y se entiende que se deben cumplir como por ejemplo apuestas, servicios ilegales, etc…

Lo mejor es entrar directamente a las condiciones de google y leerlas.


¿Cómo puedo dar de alta mis productos en GOOGLE SHOPPING?

Lo primer es darnos de alta en Google Merchant Center y lo siguiente crear un feed en el que se espefiquen una serie de valores:



  • id [id]

  • título [title]

  • enlace [link]

  • precio [price]

  • descripción [description]

  • estado [condition]


Después disponemos de otros campos que como siempre son recomendados, cuanto más datos demos al buscador y a los potenciales clientes, más fácil será que consigamos vender más por Internet.

  • enlace imagen [image_link]

  • categoría [product_type]

  • cantidad [quantity]

  • disponibilidad [availability]

Como siempre recomendamos realizar estas acciones de “posicionamiento” o mejora, en definitiva se trata de ayudar a los buscadores para que referencien todos nuestros productos y al final vender , vender y volver a venderr!!!!
